1st Organos show: Liminal Music Festival 9/26/09

Wendy Spitzer of Felix Obelix is putting on the Liminal Music Festival at the ArtCenter in Carrboro, NC. I was invited to join the line up for Saturday, September 26th at 8PM. Reid, John, Wes, & I ran through the songs last night to get a sense of how it can work. It was an invigorating experience for me to hear the songs being played live. I am more excited now than nervous about the whole "performing live" aspect of this. Not to mention, I have some of the most talented and inspiring musicians helping me make this possible. I really never thought too much about Organos being live bc I was afraid that the songs could wind up sounding too electronicy if I did it myself. Too many gadgets and shit would be needed to be able to pull off what I play on the recordings. And the thought of being on a stage by myself makes me want to cry,puke, & hide. I'm lucky to have these friends next to me. I don't think I could do it otherwise...
